Skydive cancellation policy
Bookings online or telephone is considered a firm booking and so a 24-hour cancellation notice is required. If the weather conditions are not suitable for skydiving then we will offer you alternative times and days. If these times don’t suit you then please let us know.
24 Hour Policy
We ask that if you have to cancel or postpone your jump, please let us know 24 hours before you are due to jump with us. This enables us to find a more suitable time for you to jump with us, and also opens up the booking should anyone else like to jump at that time.
Should the weather be unsuitable for jumping on the day it is your responsibility to return to the parachute centre on another occasion(s) if necessary, to complete your jump. You must rebook within 20 days of each unsuccessful attempt.
Vouchers / Special Promotions
Vouchers are non-refundable and not redeemable for cash, but are transferable. Gift vouchers purchased directly through Skydive Bay of Islands will expire 12 months after purchase. Gift vouchers purchased via another site or booking agent will be subject to the terms and conditions attached to that purchase. Gift Vouchers are open-dated. Please phone 0800 465 867 or email email@example.com to book your skydive. Failure to show on your scheduled date and time will render your voucher invalid. Remember to present your voucher and valid ID on check-in as without it, you are unable to skydive. Please advise immediately if your gift vouchers has been stolen, as once the voucher has been presented no replacements will be available. Where the cost of your experience is greater than the value of your voucher, you will be required to pay the difference. Where the cost of your experience is less than the value of your voucher you will not be entitled to a cash refund (however you may use the remaining balance towards merchandise eg. photo packages).
Pricing and GST
Prices are in New Zealand Dollars and include 15% GST (Goods and Service Tax). We do not accept payment in any other currency. Your card issuer may apply charges for currency conversion. These charges are applied by your card issuer, we accept no responsibility for these. We reserve the right to change our prices at any time. We will not change the price of a Skydive or order you have already made without prior notification. This may only happen in theunlikely event that the price has been displayed incorrectly. In this instance, we reserve the right to withdraw your order and offer at the correct price. Any unlikely occurrence will be dealt with the company discretion.
We accept Visa, Mastercard, AliPay and PayPlus. To pay by Credit Card select the card type and fill in your card details; card number, expiry date and card holders full name. By giving us your Credit Card details you agree for us to take full payment from your credit card. Some credit cards may incur a 1.5% surcharge.
Shopping online is safe with us. Your credit card details do not get processed or transmitted through or via our website; all transactions are processed through a secure payment service provider. Your credit card details are not held by us and cannot be accessed by our staff. Credit card issuers usually cover their customers against fraud for online transactions. Check with your card issuer for details.
Your goods will be delivered within New Zealand at a cost of $10 and overseas at a cost of $20. Your merchandise will be dispatched within 2 working days of your order. We aim to get your goods to you within 7 working days of receivingyour order within New Zealand and 14 days for overseas orders. We cannot be responsible for the New Zealand Postal Service.
If you are dissatisfied with your order for any reason we will be happy to give you a full refund if you return the goods to us undamaged within 14 days. Please notify us by email the reason why you are dissatisfied with the goods, before you return them. Goods returned without prior notification will not be accepted.
DVD & Photo Policy
In the event that your DVD or photos malfunction, you will have the option to not purchase, and you will not be charged for it. However, should you choose to jump again then you must pay the full cost to repeat the tandem jump and for the recording. After you have left our premises, Skydive Bay of Islands take no responsibility if the item is stolen, misplaced or damaged.
We do not accept liability for any costs or expenses incurredif we have to postpone your jump, where the reason for thepostponement is beyond our control.
Parachuting is an adventure sport and participation in such sports necessarily involves a risk of injury or death regardless of the standard of training, supervision and equipment employed.
“By taking part in parachuting activities I voluntarily accept all the risks inherent in the sport and I agree for myself and my personal representatives to indemnify and hold harmless Skydive Bay of Islands against any claim or claims whether on my own account or from third parties arising out of any accident or incident resulting in any loss or damage (including bodily injury and death).”
